Dr. Pines has worked in modeling, characterization, and special analyses for 25 years, eventually in a position of senior scientist/engineer at Hughes, and senior principal electrical engineer at Raytheon Company. Dr. Pines is presently a senior silicon infrastructure engineer at Telasic Communications.
He resides in Los Angeles, California, USA, with his wife and children -- an active member of Anshe Emes Synagogue, and is in his third cycle of Daf HaYomi (daily Talmud study).
He's lectured on Torah & Science at California and National Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists conferences, the 4th and 5th B'Or HaTorah International Conferences on Torah and Science, synagogues, Torah clubs, and retreats.
Dr. Pines has a first on-line lecture at: http://www.613.org/pines.html, and was Torah & Science columnist for THE MESSENGER (Jewish biweekly distributed in Southern California) during 2002 and 2003.
