Purim - 14 Adar

Sushan Purim - 15 Adar

B'S"D

The festival of Purim falls on the 14th of Adar, all over the world except, in Jerusalem where it starts on the 15th. Purim is said to be one of two holidays (the other being Chanukah) that will be retained well into the Sabbatical Millennium.

Purim, because it celebrates the physical survival of the Jewish people is also connected with the theme of Amalek and Shabbat Zachor in which we fulfill the Mitzvah of remembering what Amalek tried to do to Israel when exoding Egypt. Not surprisingly, wicked Haman ("the Agagi"), who hatched the plan to annihilate the Jews in ancient Persia, issued from Amalek. You will find an essay on Amalek linked to the Project Mind home page: http://www.projectmind.org

There, you will see how and why Amalek represents the materialist and pagan "work-to-eat" paradigm that keeps us from realizing our destiny and why our firm, materialist faith in limitation can and must be eradicated.

In honor of that Purim affirmation and our faith in limitlessness, I remind us all of the 3 pillars of Project Mind:

  1. Created in our Maker's image, we have the capacity to become, in our totality, instruments of creative vision in which our whole body becomes Mind.

  2. This higher, creative capacity (Accelerated Thought) will enable us to enormously accelerate science, penetrate nature's secrets, master matter and break the cosmic bank producing unlimited abundance and well-being for all.

  3. This abundance will devalue all things material and break our desperate attachment to the thin, physical crust of existence allowing us all to awaken to the bulk of reality that is metaphysical and signal the true beginning of Human development.
