Accelerated Thought
A process driven by essential desire
whereby the infinite intelligence latent in man finds expression through
the rapid revelation of natural and cosmic secrets.
Addiction
Acquired need that abuses essence
by inducing satisfaction of desires violating the sequence demanded by
cosmic design which calls for work to be done in proportion to energy drawn.
In extreme forms depletes the system and mortgages the soul. The mechanism
of egoism.
Aim (or Purpose)
The imagined or perceived path of
one striving towards a desired result. The validity of the selected aim
for a given person is measured by the degree of self-realization resulting
from the attainment of the aim, the successful attainment of which depends
most fundamentally upon the depth of contact a person establishes with
the essence-desire which defines his individuality.
Appreciation
The process whereby one's emotional
perspective is enlarged and accompanied by a feeling of enhanced harmony
with one's surroundings.
Attention
Energy mobilized to form a receptacle
(or vessel) for an act of perception.
Attachment
(or "Cleaving"). An act or state through
which voluntarily or involuntarily, intentionally or unintentionally, the
energy of attention flows towards or encompasses some phenomenon.
Attraction
The force of affinity realized when
a receptacle, in the process of rectification, approaches a similarity
of form with the light of reality it was meant to accommodate. Receptacles
attract one another when they express affinities for similar realities.
Opposites attract only through their similarities.
Awareness
An attitude that defines the disposition
and quality of attention. Awareness can range from quasi-unconsciousness
to total consciousness.
Body
A vessel (or receptacle) which, owing
to the correspondence between its matter and form and, to the degree it
gives expression to the "image of G-d," can accomodate energy and realize
intelligence starting from the faintest glimmer of awareness up to the
infinite light of total consciousness. "Body" is the essence of mind.
Being
The awareness of existence that includes
self-awareness, the degree of which is determined, in any given layer of
essence, by the accommodation of energy and, consequently, through the
expression of the intelligence for which essence was created.
Breakthrough
Radical progress in understanding,
leading to personal and material transformation.
Certainty
A particularly pure and complete state
of Being in which one's faith in and love of life are experientally confirmed,
temporarily expunging all doubt.
Channel
A pathway of energy linking levels
of essence and mind.
Chaos
Temporary absence of structure inherent
in the process of purification and self-effacement. A phase in the transition
from one state to another.
Circuit
A pathway of energy executing or defining
a thought, feeling, movement, perception, or experience.
Cleaving
See "attachment."
Commitment
Attachment to aims and principles
which orient the modulation of one's energy.
Communion
A state of Being involving intimate
attachment facilitated by similarity or compatibility of essences.
Comprehension
All connections possible concerning
a percept or concept for a given level of Being, producing understanding.
Concentration
The effort to orient attention selectively
so as to exclude all but certain phenomena.
Condition
Constraints in the inner or outer
environment that impose limits on perception and manifestation.
Conditioning
Internalized constraints in perception
and manifestation that become part of one's nature and exercise control
as if imposed from without.
Confrontation
Intense meeting of conflicting inner
and outer realities that demands resolution through inner or outer accommodation.
Conscience
The strongest, most intimate, most
deeply hidden connection to life and truth. It derives from uniqueness
of individuality and defines the specific reason for one's existence.
Consciousness
A state with many possible subjective
and objective ramifications and permutations graded by the extent to which
the potential of essence is expressed through Being.
Convention
Norms and prescriptions for perception,
thought and behavior that make up human conditioning.
Core (of Essence)
One's innermost, most individuating
part.
Cosmic Consciousness
Direct vision of the integrated wholeness
of Creation.
Cosmology
Theory of the structure and function
of cosmic reality including cosmic law.
Creativity
The divinely inspired process of participating
actively and through one's essential individuality in the realization of
the cosmic plan.
Death
Systemic cessation of energy circulation
and subsequent dissolution of substance caused by the disruption of essential
circuits that, on any given level, form the receptacle of life. Spiritual
death comes with the incapacity to deploy attention so as to form a receptacle
for spiritual energy.
Desire
The prime attribute of all created
entities which, through lack and longing, reflects both separation from
the source of all life and essential affinity with and attraction to that
source, depending on how close the entity's origin is to that source. That
which motivates everything.
Destiny
One's cosmic destination or assignation
as defined by one's essence which, when fully expressed through Being,
has filled its potential and attained its cosmic purpose.
Distraction
A state in which the energy of attention
is attracted and engaged in diverse and conflicting directions according
to the dictates of convention.
Divinity
The energy that animates individuality.
Benevolence in all forms.
Effort
Voluntary movement of energy.
Ego
Identifying with an image of oneself
as opposed to experiencing oneself through Being. Ego is increased by the
identificatory pleasure of the enhancement of that image.
Egoism
The pursuit of pleasure.
Elation (Euphoria)
Massive, systemic infusion of energy,
attended by a heightened and generalized sense of well-being or exaltation.
Emotion
A reaction that consists of an evaluation
of one's circumstances.
Energy
A grade of materiality finer than
one's level of Being which produces experience through its movement within
Being. Energy, inherently formless and still, becomes "force" when it gains
vectors channeled by desire or external conditions.
Essence
Seed, germ or nucleus of a human,
animal, vegetable, or inanimate entity having highly integrated form and
substance and bearing the unexpressed potential of that entity. A potential
influence.
Essence-desire
Objective need or lack as motivating
impulse inherent in essence.
Essence-friend
A person with whom one shares commonalities
or perceived complementarities in the deeper, more individuating layers
of essence.
Essence-struggle
The pursuit of real aim rooted in
essence.
Essence-trait
A fundamental characteristic.
Euphoria
See "Elation."
Eureka
The experience of sudden revelation
usually accompanied by elation.
Existence
The cosmos. That which is.
Experience
Actively or passively receiving energy.
Imprints of past experiential events.
Experiment
The effort to deploy energy to form
a vessel permitting new perceptions, experiences or outer results.
Faith
Confidence in the benevolence of existence,
reinforced by moments of certainty, disposing one to undertake experiments.
False personality
An expression of selfhood grounded
in emotion that is acquired through imitation and that does not derive
from essence.
Family
Entities or beings sharing essence-traits.
Fate
What actually happens owing to chance
as opposed to destiny.
Feeling
The center of gravity of one's Being
at any given moment, connecting thought and action and providing an ongoing
evaluation of one's situation.
Focus
The point of concentration of one's
energy. The precise orientation of one's energy.
Form
That which enables matter to accomodate
light. The intelligence imprinted upon any given matter defining its nature
and potential. The second component of essence (matter being the first).
Force
Energy with a vector. Directed energy.
Genius
Precocious display of higher intelligence.
The latent capacity of all human intelligence.
Giving
The act of emulating G-d.
G-d
The unknowable source of everything
including endless infinity.
G-d manifest
All of Creation that is, in principle,
knowable to man.
Greed
Acquired, non-essential desire characteristic
of egoism and marked by excess.
Habit
Movement of energy through a well-established
circuit or family of circuits.
Harmony
Coordinated functioning of one's various
constituents in accordance with essence and cosmic flow.
Higher function
Incommensurately increased efficiency
in modulating energy and processing reality, attributable to harmony and
consistent with the evolving of a higher body.
Hope
Intuition that arouses a spark of
faith as to the benevolence of existence.
Hypnosis
A trance based on suggestibility and
submission.
Identification [objective]
Intentional attachment to a phenomenon
connected with essence.
Identification [subjective]
Usually unconscious attachment to
a phenomenon of thought, feeling or sensation such that one doesn't distinguish
the phenomenon from one's sense of self.
Impartiality
An attribute of Being that permits
one to see things substantially as they are.
Impression
Cosmic design or a fragment of cosmic
design impressed upon essence, comprising a potential vessel (or receptacle)
awakened and activated as Being in the process of realization. This term
is often confused with sensory stimulus that awakens impressions.

Impulse
A surge of energy originating from
inside, deriving from the establishment of connections in the unconscious.
An impulse or urge, as a transitory event, is to be distinguished from
desire which is more organic and pertains to essence.
Inclination
Bias or affinity determined by essence
or convention.
Individuality
That which, rooted in the deeper layers
of essence, makes one unique.
Intelligence
The prime attribute of mind signaling
the degree to which one adapts to cosmic reality.
Intention
The disposition to act. Voluntary
mobilization of energy to produce an inner or outer act.
Interest
The capture of attention through essential
or artificial desire often deriving from, or producing, attachment and
identification.
Intuition
A precocious channel of awareness
of relatively deep layers of essence, revealing desires connected with
individuality.
Layers [of essence]
Levels of potential Being which, according
to the "onion" metaphor, increasingly express individuality as one approaches
the center. The integral experience of any given layer from the periphery
inwards provides the illusion of Being in the whole of oneself. Precocious
contact with deeper layers accounts for giftedness, intuition, creativity,
prophesy, "genius," and other psychic phenomena.
Level
A degree of potential or of realization.
Life
Intelligence tending to consciousness,
including increasing degrees of autonomous action, adaptation and development,
deriving from an almost perfect correspondence of form and matter.
Light
Energy; The energy of life. That aspect
of reality a vessel (or receptacle) is meant to receive.
Love
Benevolence deriving from deep essential
contact with life providing conviction concerning its supreme value.
Materiality
The measure of cosmic restriction.
Matter
The substrate of all things created.
The first component of essence (form being the second). Physical matter
is the ultimate crystallization and expression of cosmic restriction.
Meaning
The experience of intelligence forming
as new connections lend coherence and richness to precepts and concepts.
Mechanicality (Mechanicity)
A mode of manifestation requiring
minimum effort and which repeats experience.
Meditation
The act of saturating oneself with
aspects of a percept or concept to enhance Being.
Mind
A living receptacle (or vessel) capable
of containing, expressing and expanding intelligence.
Need
Imperative desire. Desire the fulfillment
of which is determining for a given state of Being.
Non-essential
Pertaining to needs, desires and experiences
that do not respect the sequence of energy flow of "receiving in order
to give" demanded by cosmic law and inherent to essential form.
Objective consciousness
The highest function of mind; state
of Being encompassing objective knowledge.
Objective knowledge
Full conscious grasp of cosmic phenomena.
Objectivity
Attitude or quality of Being that
gives expression to truth.
Obscurity
Obfuscation of mind, difficulty of
understanding or lack of consciousness stemming from the restricting aspect
of the matter.
Onion
Metaphor for essence. See "layers."
Openness
Attitude permitting new inputs and
perspectives, often deriving from self-purifying efforts of detachment
and disidentification such as renouncement, self-effacement and submission,
collectively known as "non doing."
Paradigm
Frame of reference. Matrix of meaning.
Peak experience
Elevation of spirit or state of inspiration
deriving from an experience of cosmic harmony. (Term coined by Laslow)
Personality
A complex of traits characterizing
an individual.
Pleasure
The experience of desire, need or
lack being satisfied. A vessel (or receptacle) receiving the energy or
"light" destined for it.
Potential
The degree of reality destined for
a being or entity. The highest light or finest energy that can possibly
be received. Maximum or highest utility for a tool or instrument.
Purification
The process of abandoning a closed,
distracted state, thereby creating openness and a new state more closely
conforming to Being, as demanded by essence. Often induced through ritual
and other acts of renouncement, submission and self-effacement. Preparation
for real doing - the extension of influence.
Purpose

Question
Attitude or state of Being-insufficiency
expressing awareness that all is not known.
Race
Those with shared traits stemming
from moderately deep, individuating layers of essence.
Reality
Essence and that which complements
and completes essence.
Realization
The rectified expression of essence
or potential.
Receptacle (or Vessel)
An existing organ or the disposition
of energy (e.g., the energy of attention) within a living entity to become
organized in emulation of an organ, so as to be able to vibrate with and
thus contain still finer energy.
Rectification
The process of becoming free of distraction;
arriving at the expression of essence through Being. The aim of purification.
Reflection
Low-grade, preliminary effort of thought
laboring under distraction.
Reflectivity
Quality of thought conditioned by
distraction.
Resistance
The impedance of realization by restriction
or distraction.
Restriction
The quality whereby all created materiality
resists realization.
Science
Methodology for revealing knowledge.
Self
The center of gravity of one's being
which gives the particular flavor of one's existence.
Self-effacement
The dissolution or suspension of one's
sense of self, preferably in the form of openness or creative chaos.
Self-realization
The acquisition of a new degree of
Being through purification or essence-struggle; the fulfillment of one's
individual potential.
Self-reflection
A distraction-conditioned mode of
thought that takes the self as an object rather than as process.
Shell
That aspect of self including personality
and false personality crystallized under the influence of distraction that
most resists the assimilation of reality. Crystallized restriction.
Shock
Sensory or conceptual input that awakens
impressions connecting one to reality through Being, at least momentarily.
Short-circuit
Non-essential pathways of energy (discharges)
constituting one's shell including such distraction-inspired phenomena
as greed, negativity, passion, and identification.
Sleep
Lack of self-awareness.
Soul
Generic name for the innermost part.
Technical name for the level of Being immediately above the spirit. Soul
is the highest level of Being that does not include eternal life or the
full realization of individuality.
Soulmate
A person of the opposite sex whose
essence is closest and most complementary to one's own. (See essence-friend.)
Spirit
Generic name for the energy that animates
the different levels of Being. Technical name for the level of Being immediately
below the soul.
Spirituality
Philosophies and efforts aimed at
generating Being. Term expressing the belief that existence includes more
than just physical reality.
Struggle
See "Essence-struggle."
Subconscious
Unexpressed essence. That part of
essence unexpressed through Being or personality.
Subjectivity
The bias given to anything, especially
awareness, by the action of restriction upon one's essence or personality.
Submission
The relinquishing of one's willfulness.
Superficial
Pertaining to one's shell. Pertaining
to the "higher" or "external" layers of intellect. Pertaining to the outer
layers of essence. Unencompassing.
Talent
Exceptional motor, aesthetic, emotional,
and/or intellectual abilities deriving from preferential contact (normally
inherited) with aspects of essence. Prodigy and genius are limit cases.
Thought
The effort to assimilate reality on
any level, but ususally restricted by distraction to the intellect.
Thought compression
A form of concentration whereby the
field of effort is narrowed to and mantained upon the object or phenomenon
of contemplation longer than distraction would normally allow or convention
would demand. The result of confrontative reflection.
Trace
See "Impression."
Trance
A temporary, non-banal, quasi-stable
disposition of attention accompanied by a marked change in the way one
experiences oneself and one's surroundings, usually beyond the control
or understanding of the person so affected. Self-absorption.
Transformation
A change of Being leaving one incommensurably
different in the way one experiences and processes reality. A step in the
evolution of intelligence.
Unconsciousness
Everything not integrated within or
illuminated by the light of awareness, including one's repertoire of knowledge,
feelings, skills, habits, etc., including the subconscious. Everything
not included in awareness. Everything not included in Being.
Understanding
The energy of comprehension that maintains
faith and animates the soul.
Utopia
Ideal conditions of existence favoring
self-realization and the development of Being through the pursuit of essence-desire.
Vessel
See "Receptacle."
Vision
Higher Being-function using the energy
of wisdom and allowing the direct acquisition of objective knowledge.
Will
The full, organic, conscious expression
of a given level of essence-desire.
Willfulness
The tendency to accord to an impulse
the status of will.
Wisdom
The energy of certainty and eternal
life.
